YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The appointments were to be yesterday, but the  birth mom was late and the social worker had already gone home.
So they kept the birthmom in town and today the social worker could not come.  but they got DNA which is really
important and they are keeping the birthmom in town and hopefully they will get family court on Monday.
I know with out a doubt all the prayers that have been sent up on behalf on Libby are working.  I cannot praise GOD enough!

So our next step is Preapproval from the US Embassy and Then is off to the final court PGN.

Libby is doing adjusting well and watches her big brothers every moves.  They both can get her to laugh quickly.
I know that tommorow will be  a rough day on us all.  They are to pick up Libby around 7 pm.

Thanks so much for your prayers and support!

Love, Mark, Anna, Addison, Jamison, and Libby

A Very Happy Birthday!!!!

Yesterday was a wonderful day.  We got to share our daughter s first birthday.
The moment she woke up Jamison was singing  happy birthday to her.  It was precious.  We ate at the breakfast buffet in the hotel it was wonderful.  Adter breakfast Addison decorated the room.  We had cupcakes (little debbies)
It was one of the best birthdays that I have  been too.  It is a moment in time I will alway treasure.  Libby knew it
was her birthday, because she was up  almost all night!  (she is cutting teeth)

We are here!

We are here in Guatemala.  We left early Wednesday morning about 3 a.m.  Addison and Jamison were great every minute on the plane. Now, Mark that is a different story!  (haha)  No one got sick.  The pilots seemed to know what they were doing.  The flights were all on time and very smooth.  The hotel is awesome!  We had about 2 hours to get ready before  Libby arrived.

Our facilitator was on time, a little early which we were please with.  She is concerned about her growth and we are too more on that later.

We are all madly in love with Libby.  She is beautiful both on the inside and out.  She makes us laugh, She makes us cry, She makes us tired.  We either have the most active one year old in Guatemala or we have forgotten how active a one year old can be!!!  She is a very pettite, bundle of dynomite.  With beautiful lustrious deep brown eyes and soft brown skin, you just want to touch.  Her fine coal black hair has a zillion cowlicks, which makes it a challenge to put into pig tails.

She is a delight!  We hope that some day soon we can bring her home.

She is sleeping soundly now, so we are getting ready to celebrate her 1st Birthday,  We have cupcakes, candles, balloons ect.  Addison and Jamison are in charge on that.

Well, It is time to get this party started!!!!!!!

Love, Mark, Anna, Addison and Jamison and Libby

P.S.  Wanetta, if you are reading this please call my Mom and tell her we are having trouble figuring out how to call to the states, we will call her as soon as we figure it out.

P.S.  Thanks to the Wednesday Night Prayer Group for your prayers they are working!!!

Please keep on praying that we can bring her home soon!

Learning to fly like an Eagle

When you walk to the edge of all the light you have, and you take that first step into darkness the unknown, you must
believe that one of two things will happen:

There will be something solid for you  to stand upon, or you will be taught how to fly.

-Patrick Overton

16 Months along in our journey to Libby, we are learning to fly like an eagle.

There are days, we soar, spread our wings, catch an updraft, ride on faith, and feel God’s strength  lifting us higher and higher.  On thoses days we can feel the winds of God’s love and the peace of his presence.

Then there are those days when we feel that if we would just flap a little harder, maybe we could get there a little faster.  We flap, and flap and flap and flap.  Until, we finally
have worn ourselves out.  Then we go back to trusting, hoping, waiting and soaring.

This is one of many promises from our Savior, that I am holding tight too right now.

Isaiah 41:31
But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength;  They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Please continue to pray for us, especially for the Birth Mother to show up for the family court appointment this Thursday.

Guatemala Here we Come!!!

I am sooooooo excited Mark, Addison, Jamison and I are going to Guatemala over Fall Break!!   Can you believe that, Ain’t God Good? We will be there for her first Birthday, on October 25th.  Please pray for a safe trip for our family.

We also heard from the Attorney and Facilitator Today.  They have an appointment scheduled next Thursday with the Social worker and they still need to contact the birthmom, to make sure that she can come.  Please pray that she can come.

Another terrific surprise was 5 new pictures of Libby, I have been trying to post them, but no luck.  I will try again later.

Thanks for lifting us up in prayer.  We appreciate our friends and family so much!

Mark and Anna
